Everyone has done, thought or said bad things. The Bible calls these sins. The result or wages of sin is separation from God, which is death.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23 ESV).
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 ESV)
When we admit our sinfulness, and how lost we really are, we can humbly approach God for forgiveness and grace.
God loves you and has a plan to save you.
Jesus paid for ALL our sins, by dying on the cross. When we turn away from our sins, putting our faith and trust in Him, we receive His love and forgiveness. His grace transforms our life.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 ESV)
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 ESV)
Ask Jesus to make what He did on the cross count for you.
We can ask Jesus directly, through prayer, to come into our hearts. Ask Him to forgive your sins, and to make what He did on the cross count for you. Ask Him to change your life, and to be your Lord and Savior.
And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31 ESV)
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 ESV)
Tell someone that you have decided to follow Jesus.
Sharing your decision to follow Jesus is an important step. It reinforces your faith, advances His Kingdom, and gives you the opportunity to own your commitment. Your profession of faith points others to the same hope you found in Jesus.
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10 ESV)

73. A PRAYER OF SELF-DEDICATION (2019 BCP) by William Temple
Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to you, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly yours, utterly dedicated to you; and then use us, we pray, as you will, and always to your glory and the welfare of your people; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
